What is the vision of MIES ?
OUR VISION
The Midwest Institute for Environmental Spirituality is
dedicated to promoting a deep sense of God's presence in
the
natural environment, within the context of the Christian
faith.
We work with children, youth and adults through a variety
of
programs designed to aid participants to encounter God in
the natural environment and reflect upon our place in
creation.
Accepting
the finding of modern science, we seek to connect
faith, science and environmentalism to teach that we are
stewards
of God's creation.

2. What programs does MIES offer?
OUR PROGRAMS
The Midwest Institute for Environmental
Spirituality has
several program which we can put on for you or provide the
material for you to use yourself. These
include :
. Stations of Creation, a liturgy which celebrates God's
role as creator of all things.
. "God's Beautiful World" a series of programs for
children focusing on the creatures of our world.
. Our National Parks. Our president has visited several of
the most beautiful national parks and he can makes
presentations
to children and adults based on these experiences
. Stewardship of creation, discussion
guides to explore
the concept of stewardship as it applies to the environment. "Surely God Is In This Place, a 48 hour retreat exploring environmental
spirituality within the context of the Christian faith
